Not a doctor, but I had a T-5 thru T-7 Laminectomy to fix a spinal cyst and remove benign tumor. UTI almost killed me, chronic pain now and permanent nerve damage. Get at least a second opinion before letting anyone cut on you.Trust me , I had the L-5 Laminectomy discectomy , it cured my sciatica but created more trouble . Bird dog and planks fixed it in a couple weeks .
Rub some dirt on it. If you can't reach it, have someone else rub some dirt on it.Left side disc herniation on the lumbar spine, L4 and L5, one thru five sacral spine problems so this is what the doctor told me after my mri last week

My last bit of pain progressed until I couldn’t walk anymore. I was laid up until I had surgeryIt’s the sciatic pain and shooting down my leg and into my knee, also can’t hardly stand up straight

Touch base with Christy Canyon or Peter North. Likely have a side hustle VRBO to rent a studio. I'd imagine there are mirrors for every angle to assist with doing the surgery yourself....lol just to clarify that I want to do the surgery myself
Been going through similar. My literature review has shown that disk fusion is a poor solution statistically. If you need to get sliced opt for prosthetic disk for better long term resultsLeft side disc herniation on the lumbar spine, L4 and L5, one thru five sacral spine problems so this is what the doctor told me after my mri last week

Who was your surgeon? Haha he was better than the the other guys surgeons it sound like.I’m not a doctor but I play one on HT.
I’ve had a few surgeries for L5-S1 herniations. I caused the issues from deadlifting. Nothing worked for me but surgery. All of the PT, etc just caused me more problems. I’m 95% or better now. Just don’t ask me to deadlift 200 pounds.
