Follow me Oak says. I'll lead to you to a land of singing herd bulls and no hunting pressure. Bring ear plugs, the bulls will keep you up all night long.

I believe the job is done young elk_hunter. Dink - get this thread going, and lets keep it going!
Knock 'em down boys!

As it turns out, there are 2 other camps in the same basin. No problem really, there are a lot of elk. One camp kills a nice 6pt opening morning. We chase the elk a bit but come up short. We even see this guy several times that has a rabbit’s foot firmly imbedded someplace. He was the victim of the hazing event Saturday evening and made sure to get even Sunday morning by parading around 150 yards from us for over an hour.

On Monday late morning we leave the place to the other camp. Oak says follow me, I have another plan…………

Oak, you'll have more room if you deflate the dolls. I know this to be true.

We looked....

And Dink began to question his guide a bit...

We did look and look, but one thing is for sure, when you get Oak on the Hubble, things happen. Monday evening we decide to send Oak to the top of the mountain with the mighty Hubble Spotter. I go to a near by spot to poke around in the timber a bit. I see a few small bulls and meanwhile Oak spots what he believes to be a fine bull in a valley over from us. Oak doesn’t get a very good picture of him and wants me to see him.

A dinker I saw

Tuesday morning Oak climbs and I crawl to the top of the mountain to show me this bull. He is for sure a shooter. The trick is to drive over the mountain then down to his drainage and simply shoot him coming out of the timber that evening. Pretty simple.

We head to camp and Oak set me up on his ATV, Oak slaps me on the back and says go get em Tiger!!! Off I go on one of my first hunting ATV adventures.

Love that pose, and sweet, white knee high stockings!
You are indded CSEH!
Q: Is he questioning his guide in photo#3, or is he just getting done wipin' his arsh?>

Now this particular road is cursed, I know this to be true because the prior weekend I broke my truck on it (mostly my fault) and there was another party that had an ATV disaster that required Flight for Life (mostly thier fault as well). Nasty rocks, stream crossings and steep hills, I call it the Trail of Tears.

A little redneck engineering with some help of some great folks to get me back to the road the prior weekend.

This is what happens when your wheel comes off and slams against the fender.

Rescued and home the prior weekend.

The "fine" bull. Use your imagination.

So I decide to head to town for hookers and sm....more supplies...while Dink is off chasing big bulls. Imagine my surprise when my phone rings and it is him. "Come and pick me up." I drive back up the mountain and locate him....
