Tough from a photo. Doesn’t look like a fibroma because it is fur covered. Something subcutaneous…possibly a cyst due to some sort of injury? Could be a bony proliferation but you said no limp, so given it’s location I assume that is less likely.
Crazy! I shot a little buck when I was 16. It had a big “growth” on its brisket. I carefully opened it up and it was a broad head!!I shot a deer two years ago with the beginning stages of that. Similar location. In my case though it was a bullet hole that was starting to heal over. That deer had no limp or signs other than the hole it had been shot.
