I know that I’m not the only one walking out of the woods tonight looking up and thinking how beautiful and blessed my life is with all that’s going on in the world. This picture was taken at about 6:00 ET. No deer were harmed tonight but that’s okay,beautiful ending.

I drove SxS up mountain this morning couple hours before sunrise trying not to spook the elk with headlights off. Moon was super bright, sky perfectly clear with just light breeze and some frigid temps.

At 04:30 this morning I was feeling a little “exposed” getting in the hot tub. Really bright out. No pictures allowed!

I woke up at 3:00am last night to attend to a crying baby. The field behind our house had about a dozen elk in it lit up by the moon. I rarely see them here, so it was a great sight.

Nope. Not in the U.P.
The photo was taken mid-December during Muzzle season.
Late Archery ended January 1 for the Yoop, as usual.

No snow in my neck of the woods. Just as well, Eugene’s got to be on the list of the most ill-prepared cities when it comes to winter weather. Makes it all the more special when we run up into the mountains, though.
