I think knives are one of the most underrated pieces of gear we use. I understand the replaceable blade types but never get the same satisfaction as a quality blade.

I started realizing AI was a thing when I was constantly getting emails about new knives or knives that were on sale. I absolutely love knives! The only problem with having so many different ones is that I don't keep track of them as well, because I can always find one close by. The one I do absolutely keep track of is a Kabar my Dad gave me 34 years ago. An irreplaceable artifact of the bond I shared with a man we lost too soon.

I am going to have to try to find the Old Timer folder I started with so I can use it again. I haven’t seen it for a while but I do recall thinking, the last time I saw it, how narrow the blade had gotten from sharpening over the years.
