Saw one today, first time in my life. I've seen albino and piebald WT in the South, but never a Mulie. How rare are they?

I saw one in town years back and ive heard of them, but not often. I think the rate could be similar but the populations of WT are so high in comparision that alone makes them "rare" by default.

I’ve seen two on the same mountain range. One was a nice buck I never got a picture of. Two years later, see this doe. Picture is rough, mirage was kicking up and a ways off, but get the idea. All the other does kept running her off and kicking at her.

Dang! I would sure Give that Muley some Color!! RED color that is!!!
My great grandmother was a full blooded Onondaga Indian. We used to visit her on the reservation when I was a young child. I remember her once telling us “ bad medicine to kill the white deer”. I have had one in my scope. I was reaching for the trigger when I heard her voice whisper in my ear, bad medicine to kill the white deer. I removed my finger and watched it walk away.

Supposedly the albino gene defect comes along with a higher prevalence for other defects and health issues. It can be passed down, but not at a “it was an albino deer so its offspring will also be albino” rate
