When I got home I went to Walgreens and got a pedicure kit with tweezers and scissors. I sanitized them with alcohol then went to work debriding my foot. I got a buddy who’s a doctor to call me in a prescription for some really good cream. The foot is looking and feeling better. Thanks for everyone who has been sending me well wishes. I’m going to be healed up and ready for WY elk in 4 weeks!

I'm glad your foot is better! Now let's talk about your micro-toenails, have you had those checked out? :ROFLMAO:

Congrats on a successful hunt! Very well done.

in Alaska 10 years ago I had a similar thing happen to my foot on night one but not as bad as you. My camp shoes held the water in which made the burn worse so I can literally feel your pain. Way to go and hope it heals well. What would you add or did you use the most from your first aid kit for it? I cant think of many people prepared to dress a wound like that for several days.

I had enough gauze and pads to dress the wound the whole time. The change I made in my med kit was replacing all the pads with nonstick pads. I made quite the bloody and painful mess a couple of times removing pads that stuck and had to be pried off.
