Alaska Bear Baiting Success?

Hello everyone, I'm trying to put out a call and see how the bear baiting is going in Alaska this year. I'm currently serving in Korea. i will be returning back to Alaska this October. I just wanted to hear and see some news of some Alaskans success. to the rest of you good luck with your hunts and be safe.

No luck so far for me, but have some biddies that scored up near Palmer. Still three more weekends to go. Hope to have some pictures for you in a week or so.

My house is in wasilla. So thats is pretty good bear country up in that area palmer wasilla that is. i'm trying to get some ideas for when i get back. a lot of people have told me to look to the Kenai for baiting. I mainly am going to Bow hunt. it seems that everytime i go hunting with my rifle i can't kill something over 20 yards away including my brown bear. so i decided i will work more towards using my bow. i can't wait to see the pictures.

If you don't mind travel you can goto PrinceofWales Island there have been alot of bears taken this year by baiting and by just boating to the diff islands here. lots of black bears here and good size so let me know if you want to adventure here.
