Yep, it's a fine tool, that Pythagorean theorem. Volun-teaching geometry to the local eighth graders I always emphasized the important relationship of the "hippopotamus" to the adjacent animal sides of the right triangle. Try using that term in explaining to the "aliens", Hank.

I just followed directions when we built a geodesic dome. Just tell me the angle. I can find that. Lots of nodding on that job.
