Three kids, never pretended there was a Santa and never bought that stupid elf. I want my kids to know that everything they have comes from my wife and I (and is technically ours until they move out and take it with them)

I was a little bombastic, but the core is true. Never did Santa or the elf. Way less complicated and it never bothered the kids. We were also very careful to talk to them about how other families did things different and they weren't allowed to spoil it. As far as I'm aware, none of mine ever broke the news to another kid.
