Nice photos. Gosh, it would really be nice for HT posters to identify at least which state they are from and ... no ONX waypoints, but at least generally the vicinity and context of photos and stories. 'Just my pet peeve of curiosity.

It's about all I can do. Pretty sure I'll never draw the tag. So, I watch 'em often and take a few photos too.

That's good enough. But... I'll keep applying for the tag, for a few more years.

Its sad thinking wasnt to long ago their were millions of them all across our country
but also a great conservation story of how we are keeping the herds as healthy as we can and expanding them as much possible

Cool shots. I have a shot from a few years ago with a magpie on a ram's horn and appear to be cleaning the preorbital gland.

I have seen magpies on deer as well, feeding on ticks, maybe?
