7mm Weatherby Mag

Got several 7mm weatherbys absolutely love them! 160 accubonds and 175 bergers have given me best results even with 10" twist barrels. If you get one i doubt you wouldnt be happy, never seen one not shot.

I say if you want it, get it. I am not going to be the one to talk you out of a magnum. mtmuley
You wouldn’t be. I have two 7mm Rems.

I’m being stupid, right?

It’s listed on a certain gouge-prone site but actually not out of line for the specific model. I keep checking hoping someone else beats me. Wood looks a little bit average, but overall it’s in perfect shape.

I AM being stupid. I don’t actually need you to tell me. I think I am just talking it out to hear MYSELF say it…. 😂 Have a feeling we’ve all been there.

Pretty guns but they have a reputation for recoil. In the olden days 7mm mags also had a bad reputation for unnecessary meat mutilation, although modern bullets may mitigate that significantly. The significant problem would be finding some of those modern bullets. I'm stuck with Hornady cup-and-core lead for now and lucky to have it. Those would splatter out of a 7mm mag.

Squeezed the trigger of a Fiber Mark V 300 Wby while it was safety’d once. Almost twitched out of my range rest. Got rid of it. The unbraked 300 RUM doesn’t come close to the punishment that mule doled. Only rifle I ever dreaded to operate.

Dont make be the only one out there with a problem of buying multiple guns that are capable of the same things.

300 Wm, .30 Nosler, .28 Nosler, 6.5-300, 270 WSM, 30-06, join the the club of more guns than you can shoot. the 7WM must be different than the 7RM. They have different initials. Must be different, one must be better.

I know! right? My 7mm Rem is clearly what has been holding me back from success.

Its a late 1990’s BDL I dressed up in a grey laminate. I still think its cool. Maybe not Weatherby cool. But it’ll kill a deer out to at least 75-80 yards. Any further, I’m forced to use my 6.5CM (duh).

I think I am squarely in the gun cabinet realm where I could assign use only in 20 yard increments. 6.5, 260 Rem, 7HT, 7RM, 280, 30/30, 308, 30-06, 8x57, 35 Rem, 35 Whelen, 444M, 450M, 45/70

No Weatherby though…..🤔

That’s purdy

I have a 7mm Rem Mag in a Weatherby Vanguard and everything I have shot over the past 3 years has not ran any further than 10 yards after shot. Just started reloading for it and was shooting a 3/4" inch group at 100 yards with the reloads I set up. Shoots better than my buddy's Christensen Arms Ridgeline in 300 PRC. He's lucky to get 1 MOA out of it and that rifle cost more than double my vanguard. I have 7mm and .264 both and love them both. Buy it!
