Hoping a CO resident can help me with a few incidentals:

Is any sort of off-road sticker required for ATV’s?

Is it a realistic expectation to get a RV camping spot at the Lake Fork campground?

is it a good idea to keep an OTC elk tag in your back pocket or is the likelihood of seeing a decent bull while targeting deer slim to none?

2) No clue, can't help you there

3) There's always a chance to see elk, especially if you are getting away from the roads. If you are "road hunting" for deer with an ATV, then might not be worth it, but you never know.

1) I can't help on that, but you will see plenty of other ATV's.
2) Also can't help but we always got a spot at Soap Creek Campground during 1st rifle. We didn't get there til day before season started also.
3) Probably a good idea to have an elk tag. I've seen a lot of elk and a couple really nice bulls in 54. That said, if you're looking for a good muley buck it might be worth just focusing on that.

Good call. I probably shouldn't answer questions that I know nothing about, given that I've never owned an ATV. I edited my post above.
