And I'm gonig to King Salmon to Visit my dad for a Couple days. Of course I'll have a Brown bear tag in my pocket, but he hasn't been seeing any.

If anyone knows were to start looking let me know. Otherwise I'll only have Pictures of trees and waterways to bring back

I'm jsut going to fly into King Salmon. It's jsut a Long weekend visit/hunt.

I will be back to AK in November but we're going straight to Kodiak Island for deer. I might have a Layover in anchorage if you want be to buy you a beer

Moosie...just got back from a 8 day Moose/Black Bear hunt in Alaska near lake clark area. Chased a 70" plus moose the first 2 days (passed on a marginal 50")and then the weather got really bad (remnants of a typhoon hit). Unfortunately, it rained the next 5 days with wind up to 50 mph and no animals being glassed. Used the last day to go after a big black bear but no luck on either. Already planning our return trip for next year (was a lot of fun!). Key learning....need to upgrade my raingear and go all stainless on the gun. Also, got to observe 2 big brownies fighting it out...

Forcast is solid rain every day tht I'm there...... Suckky !!!

So I didn't start packing till 10PM tonight, Threw in some Undies, some Socks, a vest, a rain jacket, hip boots some long sleeve shirts.. my Rifle , bino's and wallet. Camera and Camcorder .. (I know, I don't upload pics any more anyways... WHAAHHH !!!)

That should about cover it I hope !!! only took 2 hours to pack.. I probably forgot something ... or two |oo |oo |oo

OHHH well, Fug it... leaving in7 hours, MAybe I'll remember what I forgot ?!?!?!

Good luck dude. Hope you smoke a big ol bear! I woudl think twice about the flip flops, you might have to run, and if you ask JB, he'll tell you they suck to run/climb in.
