What do you say is the better elk cal.? I own both of these in Browning Abolt. Both shoot great.

Also have my eye on a Abolt in 325WSM but have not made the step so far. Recoil is a concern, never fired a 325.

Both are great but if I had to choose, I'd probably go with the 7mm. I haven't shot a 325 either, but shouldn't be too bad. I never figured out why they came out with that instead of a 338WSM.

Have only shot the 325 short in a Browning lever & recoil wasn't that bad IMO. Ammo availability might be a consideration.

7 mag as per your initial query....just coz I like em better.

Ammo availability and bullet selection tip the scales to 7mag for me.

Exactly why I went with 7mm. Versatility, flat shooting and plenty of knockdown power.

Though I like the 325 wsm, ammo availability shut the door on it for me.

A lot of folks swear by the .270 but I personally felt it was a little light for elk hunting.

I am happy with my decision.
