Drive number 2 is complete. 3 bucks killed for a total of 7 bucks today. Drive #3 is beginning. I will get better at pictures.

What a day! I say that with a sigh of relief. We were lucky to get some good bucks today. We blood tracked a good buck a good distance today with no luck. I still failed at pictures this afternoon. I think we ended up with 13 deer total? 7 or 8 bucks.

Spray and pray won’t last to long around here. Most deer are walking or standing still when they are shot.

1 drive in today, we are ready to start drive number 2. 1 buck on the first drive with a couple does. There’s some young hunters walking along to learn today!

If you think it means that I made a hell of a shot on a buck that looked good as it was escaping the drive to find out it had considerable ground shrinkage, then yes.

I’m currently walking through about 4 acres of standing corn. I’m hoping come late season muzzleloader I will find a big Iowa whitetail using this. Yesterday there was 3 deer here when I walked through. I couldn’t tell what they were, but they went into the drive and that’s all that matters.

Anyone that says they haven't done it is full of shit or aint done much hunting. Especially when they're going the other way.
