Looks like a busy fall... Finally drew Sheep tag and burning 30 points on a 201 Bull tag. WOW!

We will have dozens of experienced Colo sheep a goat hunters on hand to provide unit specific info to help you hit the ground running with your scouting and hunt planning.
Last year we had close to 300 folks on hand for an incredible half day of hunters helping hunters!

We also have the RMBS Rendezvous coming up on May 17th. Both events are a no brainer for newly minted sheep and goat tag holders to participate in.

Maybe I am just lamenting a week of major rejection: NM all species, MT elk and deer, CO sheep and goat. Is there ever a point when you have a serious chance of drawing CO sheep or goat?

The Genie is never going back in the bottle. It is moving towards having to pay big money for a guided hunt or governor’s tag, or getting lucky with one of the RMBS raffles. The denominator is getting so large, it won’t matter how many points one has.

Colorado red again for sheep and goat.

Nonetheless, Alaska dall sheep hunt (Brooks Range) in 103 days, 8 hours, and 55 minutes…The training at almost 57 yoa continues for my second attempt on an Alaska Dall sheep.

First attempt was in 2020 (Covid year). We bumped a legal ram on Day 4 and I vowed to get back on the mountain thereafter. I booked this sheep hunt back in January 2022 as the first available and before the prices doubled.

Luckily, I drew a nonresident Arizona desert bighorn sheep tag in 2022 with 13 points and got permanently kicked out of the “<1 Club.” I am still grateful, blessed and thankful for that hunting experience.

The odds of getting remarried and having another kid are still likely higher than those of drawing a sheep tag... I'd take the sheep tag... j/k or am I?

Fortunately I won't have to make a tough call . No tag for this guy.

Can you get 2 goats tags if you win one in the raffle?

Yes you can I believe. The raffle and gov tags are not class a tags. I feel like I heard a story once of a guy who won the sheep raffle and drew his tag that year.

I think it was in the early 2000s. 2002 or 2003 maybe. Guy had drawn a Gunnison area unit ram tag I think He was sitting in the crowd at the then in person Hunter Orientation in June. RMBS used to sell tickets at the event then pull the winner. He was so stunned when they called his name his wife had to stand up and say- "He's right here" If i recall correctly he shot two rams in the unit he drew at the same time. I would have shopped a round a bit but he wanted to killed two at the same time I guess.

Skunked on sheep again...it's raffle time!

Frankly though I hardly cared about my draws yesterday, my daughter shot a big gobbler and filled the first tag she's ever had, what a freaking awesome day!
