Hey EJ, I hung that antler there........every time I come across a chalk deer shed I hang it in a tree. the elk antlers go home with me
Jealous... nice sheds here. Still have over a foot of snow in my yard. Will be a month before things start to open up here.

When I first started looking in the 80's I left thousands. Now I take most of what I find, the real old crappy ones I toss into the thick stuff. No need to leave stuff out in the open and give other people the impression they might be in a good spot.Never leave a shed behind. Some of my coolest ones are the mossy chalky ones. Nice work on the shed everyone. More to be had!

A decent walk picking up several slobs leftovers yesterday. Me and a buddy. 16 brown. The rest hard white.
Makes me happy to know that @mtmiller can take at least some pictures to compete with the quality of mine!Had five bulls run across the road in front of me this morning. Two packing, two growing and one freshly shed. I did watch the 5pt run a couple hundred yards just to see if he would drop in front of me. No such luck.
gotta <click> on pic to see crappy video. Pretty sure I know why I could "see" many sage-grouse this morning.

Keep looking, you are finding something better than an elk shed.Well I’m back from a week of shed hunting in Utah with my wife and daughter. I wish I had a picture of a pile of elk sheds to show you guys.... but we didn’t find any. I don’t know how you guys do it. I ran into a guy out there that said “if you ain’t a local and know where the bulls are and when they drop, you’re wasting your time”. That was a bit discouraging, but oh well. Year 3 of looking for elk horns and I’ve got nothing!
The trip was not a total bust though. 5 minutes into looking for horns I found a nice deer shed! My daughter was elated!! At least she doesn’t think I’m a total loser... not yet at least haha!
