Kenetrek Boots

2021 shed thread

I have posted up this buck in the past, One of the best whitetails I have ever seen and hands down the tallest. He lived to double digits and died of natural causes. I saw him many a time, just never where I could hunt him, when I could hunt except the one time when I left the jacket behind with all my bullets. I also have terrible luck when it came to finding his shed antlers. In all those years I was only able to find one of his smaller antlers. That changed today, I decided to bust my way into some thick stuff and look what I found. I haven't put a tape on the antler yet, but I am guessing just shy of 70, plus a 6 inch extra by the browtine. One of the most impressive whitetail antlers I have ever found. G2 is an easy 14 inches. I will be on working hard to find the other side. Antler was a good 5 miles from where I took the picture of him alive a few years ago.DSCN3711.JPGDSCN1617.JPG

That’s cool. I love it when a buck like this lives to die of old age. Think of the many hunting seasons he out guessed all the se mt hunters.

I’m loading up the family and we are making the 10 hour drive out to Utah this Sunday. It’ll be our third year in a row looking for those elusive elk sheds. We’ve never found one, but we keep coming back for more punishment... I’m either an idiot or I enjoy time in the outdoors with my girls... or both (more likely)
