Leupold BX-4 Rangefinding Binoculars

2 months till Opener for the King

Only by three years. The Winchester 1885 is the best rifle ever made.

So what is that thing anyway and what is it shooting? Black powder I assume. I like it !

1888 Commission Rifle, made by CH Hanel around 1900 for hunting mouflon & chamois.

8mm Mauser, shooting a 200 grain spitzer at a mild velocity (2300 fps). Some Nazi owned it before a god-fearing American GI liberated it and brought it home in 45. Dad picked it up in the early 70's.

Awesome. Paper patched? I have some paper patched black powder, German somethings (11ish mm) cartridges. I shot an 8mm German double back in September. Cool gun, nice cartridge. Do not know much about either one, however.

No, just a spitzer from Buffalo Arms. .318 diameter. I was using the woodliegh 200 grain round nose but it didn't feed from the en bloc clip. The spitzers are perfect for it. Fast & smooth action and it recoils like a beast. Weighs around 6.5 pounds.

I'd like to shoot it some day. Maybe Grouse Camp 3.0 should have a gunshow and match :)
