It’s crossed my mind multiple times.The best solution is to get some 17 or 18 inch wheels and get the tires you want. 20s don’t make any sense on a truck, at least to me.
I don’t know yet, only 5k miles since last fall mostly gravel roads, pavement and snow.Are these decent in mud?
Back when I was shopping for a truck there a few that I immediately discounted because they had 20" wheels. They just don't look right on a truck that's actually meant to be used as a truck. Hard to say if any tire would have survived the sharp edge that took this out, but I’m not happy and there is a feeding bear waiting.

Like you said, hard to say if it would have helped, but it’s a feature I’m looking at pretty hard for my next set.
