Good on you for doing the right thing, a lot of people wouldn't. Also good on them for understanding. That is a more than fair outcome, and the meat didn't go to waste.
That's a cool looking bull, congrats! I was deer hunting in November a few years ago and had 4 different bulls bugling back and forth. Kind of neat to hear in the deer woods.
I have used Wildlife Creations in Coeur delene 3 times, turnaround may be a bit slow but the end product is very good. If I ever see another big deer I would use them again.
I cant help you with that particular area, but it might be a little soon for the rut. Still will be a good hunt though, I believe that area got a good bit of snow over the last few days. Good luck!
Thanks for all the replies, I think this may be my next gun! I have heard the triggers can be "bad", but from a hunting perspective I am sure they are adequate. My only concern is if the pump loosens up and becomes noisy, but no one seems to complain about that, so it sounds like I am good to go!

My Browning xbolt 270 wsm shoots the 140 gr. Federal Trophy Bonded Tipped very accurately. Worked well on a large cow elk this year, bullet went all the way through at about 130 yards. She took about 5 steps and dropped. It shoots about .6 inches at 100 yards.
