    Rifle for on the move woods/marsh deer hunting...BLR maybe?

    What ever rifle you choose I would defiantly go with a 1-4x scope over open sights. At 1x you will pick up a target way faster than lining up any open sights.

    I would print out the draw odds list. Highlight every unit that you can get with one point or less. Then cross off the units that are 100% with zero points. Start your research with whats left.

    Virginia bear

    I live in Rockingham County, which usually leads the state in bear kills. This was killed in Orange County which only had 7 bears killed last year. They are really spreading across Virginia though.

    Anyone using Parker bullets?

    I shoot them sabotless in my smokeless muzzleloader. They shoot great and are nasty on game.

    Federal bullet in 270 wsm

    Federal stopped making the 140 AB. I'm currently shooting the 130 AB, they shoot great, but haven't taken any game with it yet.

    I get it for straight wall states, though I think there are better options. Seems pretty pointless to me if you are in a state without restrictions. But if you want one, a new gun is never a bad decision.

    Scope mounting

    I’m looking to buy a torque driver for mounting scopes. I will only use it maybe once every couple years. Has anyone found a cheaper alternative than say the wheeler or vortex torque driver?
