    Rookie fly fishing question

Best bet is probably sink tip line as well as indicator fishing the shallows. I mainly fly fish rivers and if you get the stream small mountain stream can be easy for beginners.

Bad outfitter practices in central Montana.

When I went with an outfitter on public land you could draw blood twice. After any shot was made and blood was found they would spend at least a full 24 hours or more looking for the bull. If they believed the bull was not going to be found they would allow for you to shot again if you choose.

    Outfitter recommendations

I have gone twice with West Elk Wilderness Outfitters’s in Colorado and even though I didn’t get one the second year it was still a blast. It was a pack in on horseback public land hunt. Seems the average for these hunts in Colorado is 4,000

    Cartridge Selection - AR

Surprisingly the Hornady V-tip takes deer down very quickly from a heart or lung shot. Have family with land in Texas and that is all they use.
