    Bear bait and wind??

Buy a bottle of vanilla extract. Rub it on you and your clothes. Then prepare yourself for self defense. Bears don't always walk straight into the bait sites. Some times they will circle it to smell what's on the menu.

    Pasties!

These Jean Kays pasties are the best in Marquette in my opinion and are as good as Muldoons. The owners name is Brian(still wears an apron). He ships these all over the US via Fed Ex. He is a hunter and was a co owner of a hunting camp with my uncle. My uncle passed away a number of years ago...

A little bit of wildlife was kind enough to show themselves. The fawn was with the doe but is behind the tree to the left side of the photo.

Some Yooper trout stream to look at. I would bet my life there are a few fish in this water. And some tranquility too.

    Pasties!

Muldoons is a good place to stop for them. Solid choice! So do you think they would make a decent after a day hunting meal?

    Poll- preferred type of wallet

Bifold in beaver tail leather. Tough and the exterior surface on the wallet seems to have just the right amount of stick and slide in your back pocket. I highly doubt any one has worn out the exterior leather on one of these. TOUGH...

    Snow blower suggestions

Get one with tracks instead of wheels. The track models allow you to put down pressure on the front cutting edge and augers. The wheel models just want to climb over hard pack snow. I know people that have bought a brand new wheel model then came over and tried my 20 year old track model Honda...

I saw this one while driving home last night. He jumped the fence when I broke the camera out. I thought that was going to be the best view of him as he was leaving the seen. I was wrong. He had some leaves to feed on in his mind. Yes, the early turning color leaves. Then he was casting...

    Columbia Fishing

In picture #2. What we refer to as the "salmon chop stance". It seems like if it's rough water the salmon bite better.

    Post-hunt Rituals

The deer hunting camp I hunted out of during my first two years and it was almost the same for us. The Flintstones - "Yebba Debba Dooo" at the top of our lung capacity! Now it is much quieter. I have the guys addicted to thinly sliced heart fried in butter with a little salt and pepper if the...

Wyoming Game and Fish Commission Approves Chronic Wasting Disease Management Plan

I'm going to add this link into this thread for food for thought. The UP is somewhat different from the vast majority of Wisconsin white-tailed deer migration vs not. This CWD strategic study looks to have placement along the northern Wisconsin border. For the biologists or concerned people that...
