Just to raise your blood pressure...

We live in this amazing world that allows for multiple opinions, nuisance and something beyond binary "if not this, than that" so while I can say I disagree with Chouinard on some issues, I can shake his hand for having a conversation. We would all do better to remember a time when respectful...

    Rogan's latest podcast with Hanes.

I don't think I'm a sucker and while I may have overblown it a bit at the initial reaction I don't think it's silly either. The fact of the matter is Cameron Hanes seems a ideal fit for someone to be on a advisory Council for this Administration. As out of his depth as everyone else.... it does...

    Rogan's latest podcast with Hanes.

You are right, that Council was made up of volunteers. But the conversation wasn't limited to that. There was plenty of chit talk against federal employees, and it didn't seem like just joking around. This was followed by CH regurgitating everything that Zinke spoon fed him, and saying "i don't...

    Rogan's latest podcast with Hanes.

Anybody else had a chance to listen to it? I haven't listened to the whole thing but I did catch a long clip on YouTube that frankly really caused me to lose respect for Rogan and continue to lose respect for Hanes. In a discussion about federal employees resigning because zinke wouldn't...

    Public land uses

I worry that people could be so myopic that the only way the would be willing to advocate for a wild place, is if they were guaranteed the opportunity to go there.

Uncommon Ground - Film Premiere at BHA Rondezvous

Turned out great! The mood of the film was fantastic, and the music really took it up a couple notches. Even my wife, who usually will turn away from watching a animal getting broken down to be packed out, was transfixed. Congrats to your team for putting it together. Well done.

    BHA Rendezvous 2018

I'm sure some version of this photo has been making the rounds, but this pic is definitely my favorite from the Rende. Big Fin and his future hunting buddy, Pancake the Llama! My wife reads a book to her Kindergarten class called "Llama Llama, Red Pajama" and I have no doubt that this will be...

    Mushroom hunting

Early in the season, I look on south facing slopes and most often around dead elms. As the season progresses, ridge tops and finally north facing slopes as summer gets closer.

    Lower 48 Caribou

I heard about this as well. Was there a single event that caused the population to drop to 3? I though it was as high as 10 a couple months ago?

    BHA Rendezvous 2018

Man, what a great time! Rende was so much fun this year, though I feel its is almost at a tipping point in terms of attendance levels. Last year in Missoula still felt very intimate, this year at times felt more like a industry conference than a gathering. That said, I had a absolute blast. You...

    BHA Rendezvous 2018

Thanks for the Invite! I'd love to go to the BBQ on Thursday, but will be at a BHA chapter leaders dinner I need to attend (Not the fancy Field-Table). Looking forward to seeing you all there! If you attend the Camp Chef Cookoff on Saturday night, swing by the Minnesota Team table to say...

Are you a hunter on Instagram? Have a story to tell?

Moderator, please delete if this seems to much like soliciting or pandering.... I'll be writing for a new hunting focused Podcast network that would like to include written material on their website. Up until now the website has been used as a gateway to the various podcasts, but they would...

    Your Favorite Outdoor Authors?

Jim Harrison. Hands down my favorite author across any genre. That's said, Sigurd Olson is criminally underrated outside of the Lake Superior area. Nationally, he should be seen as a equal to Aldo Leopold in the realm of advocating and writing about landscapes.

Hunting Nebraska Sandhills, specifically Ft. Rob and Soldier Creek Wilderness

Sounds like there's more than a few of us minnesotans that are looking to Nebraska. I'd like to hear your results. Thinking of taking a bow out as an excuse to hunt but really just to get out and start walking. camp out for a few days.
