Silencers, barrel length and cartridges
Are you saying you want to cut down the carbon barrel on your current rifle? I'm not sure if that is possible. I also have a 24" carbon barrel that I'd like to put a can on, but am a bit worried about length, less so weight.- nrpate05

In Wyoming, you have to buy preference points and it is separate from the draw. So, you can draw a tag in the spring and then you can buy a preference point in the fall. -

State Land in Jackson, WY headed for auction
Yes it is a small piece sold to GTNP, but it is bordered on all sides by public land and hunting is allowed in all of those areas currently and will continue with this sale. The Trenches
My kids are 2.5 yrs apart as well. Second time was (and continues to be...) way way harder than the first time. Our second just turned one and he is coming into his own. His toddler brother, however, has never been more of a terror. I haven'd had a full nights sleep since August.- nrpate05

Wyoming cow on the day before Thanksgiving. Rem 700 .25-06 shooting 100 grain Barnes. Made a good shot and she didn't go 25 yards. Really liking that setup. -

Do you ever try to gently educate forky hunter friends or just let it be?
Maybe you should talk to CPW to implement age restrictions. Don't blame the hunter for being legal and ethical. Would you be upset if a new hunter shot a forky? What about shooting calves and fawns? Is that wrong? -

Is 'Useful electric snow blower" an oxymoron?
I got an electric last year. I think it works well although I have never owned a snowblower in my life. It does struggle with wet heavy snow (battery life mainly), but here in SE Idaho, it is mostly on the dryer side. I didn't want to deal with the hassle that came with a gas snowblower.- nrpate05

National Elk Refuge Question
It can be. I'd definitely call the WGFD office in Jackson. They will likely tell you if they have seen elk on the refuge or not. I did hear that there were 400 elk on the South Park feedground just south of Jackson the other day. And, I watched ~200 elk move out of the Horse Creek feedground... -
