Sometimes i find it funny how farmers in the midwest complain about crop damage and really do nothing to try and prevent it but you go out west and most ranchers have their hay stacks fenced in and protected.
I really like the show. I watch it mostly to see the beautiful scenery and to see what some of the areas people on here talk about look like. They were in the Seeley Lake area a while back and I believe it was brought up as a possible location for this springs bear hunt.
I'm assuming the pelts at the auction will only be stretched and dried. Meaning they would have to be sent off to get tanned. It might be easier to buy a tanned pelt from a different source from your home unless your wanting one from that local to remember the experience.
Way to go Randy. I sure hope someone does that for me if I ever get into a situation like that. It takes a lot of drive to trap in these winter conditions as it does to fight the fight that your uncle has and I'm sure you only increased that drive. Its a fun time trapping rats and your spot on...
Few Iowa guys here but we keep pretty quiet because we only have dinky deer and they don't count for a lot of the western hunters. It is a great site with a lot of excellent western big game hunters.
I used to stuff most things in a casing until my wife found out what they actually are. Now I make bulk sausage, brat patties or even skinless brats seem to be the rage in this area.
