Richard, Certainly something to be said for that! I've been shooting a .308Win Sako 85 Laminated Varmint for a few years now. I did take an Elk and 3 Mule Deer over the past 4 years with it. Taxidermy For My MT. Mt. Goat Help..
My dad has a 2 goats and a bighorn that were done by Atcheson's taxadermy in Butte, MT. As if their website isn't enough, they are one of the few taxidermists to do work for the Smithsonian. Which Petzal Headlamp ?

Ok, I personally don't have any experience with the SR 45. Much less with +p loads, but It would not surprise me if you needed to replace the recoil spring for them to cycle properly with a +P load. A stiffer recoil spring will help suck up the extra energy from the slide recoiling faster due... -

Archery Handgun in Griz Country...
Looks like it's simply a CZ 97 rechambered in 10mm Auto. Were it up to me, if you want to put that sort of money into a 10mm... Get a Sig. Or, get a Glock model 20 for Significantly less... The Glock 20 will be as reliable (if not more) than any other semi-auto out there. -

Zach, I have no idea if IMR has any on their website, but http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/ does. They have .308 loads for 4166 with many traditional slugs.- MKotur325

Might be worth a test drive
I'm really interested to try IMR 4166 in a .308. Hodgdon lists 45.1Gr Max load for a .308 win with a 180gr slug to clock 2663. If that's accurate, that sounds like a winner!!- MKotur325
