To hang bear bags or not to hang bear bags when backcountry hunting.
Always hang it if any bears (black or brown) also helps with rodents which can be at times way more aggressive. A little prevention can go a long ways towards preventing real problems. -
Tailgate Pics
Heres some more, the SxS has a 2 4pt muleys and a good 7x6 bull. I had shot one of the bucks and bull night before and then buddy helping me pack out shot the other buck during packout. Some of these pics have posted before but I love them and the memories they bring.- ccc23454

Generator get the Wen 2350, awesome unit and works like a champ. I have a 16'V-nose cargo trailer converted into a insulated camper that works amazing(it will likely be for sale next spring inside of your budget). 61-7 tag means your likely getting a outfitter or paying a trespassing fee. If you wanted DIY you should of got the -6 tag. I imagine theres more -7 tags still available, if you want to make trip worth it. -
How’s the rain been in North Central WY… and how does that effect mule deer?
If your talking bighorns to me your overthinking this and your not hiking into some deep secret deer honey hole to find a giant in mid october. Have a good vehicle in snow/rocks cause weather and date (rut factors) will determine everything for herds that migrate up/down, resident herds well... -

Anybody else muzzleloader hunting this year
I told story about chasing cow elk with my kit built hawken last year and how enjoyable it was. If you enjoy muzzleloader hunting I would strongly suggest you get a traditional rifle (build or buy). I think the hawken just triggers the mountain man type image to me as I run around the...- ccc23454

GMC purchase mileage question
Not same truck but would expect simular numbers. My Ram gets 13/14mpg towing simular trailer, 18ish as daily driver and 20ish under ideal highway circumstances (based on installed lie-o-meter). The real difference isn't mileage it's how it pulls/stops trailers. Good luck- ccc23454
