2024 College Football 🏈 Season starts tomorrow…. Yee Yee

Just for shits and giggles, who's everyone picking for this weekend?

I'd love to see IU and Tenn win, but I'm going with the bookies in Vegas right down the line,
ND, PSU, OSU and the Longhorns.

Anyone see an upset brewing?

I just don't see any way all 4 home teams don't win.

I heard a rumor that the Big10 was the toughest conference, and that's why they had 4 teams in the top 10. Indiana is rated #2 in the Big10 according to the standings. I watched some Notre Dame games, and they didn't seem very good. Indiana still has another half to play though and make my prediction of Indiana winning, right.

Unbalanced schedules due to super conferences sucks. Indiana played one good team all year and got spanked.

That was the #2 Big10 team according to the standings. Just seems like a very weak conference and if you got the easy schedule and were pretty good, it was easy to win almost every game.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame is trying to do all that they can do lose the game. :D

I guess we'll have to see how the rest of the games go, but it doesn't appear that the Big10 is anywhere near as good as the voters and CFP committee thought.

Because of the unbalanced schedule. Do you want me to Google and post their schedule? They beat up on the bottom half of the big 10 because they can only play who’s on their schedule.

That wouldn’t be worth your time. Oregon, Penn State, and Indiana only played one of the supposed top 10 or top 5 Big10 schools, Ohio St.

Fwiw, that’s similar to Texas who only played Georgia, but Georgia played Alabama, Tennessee, Texas and Ole Miss. Tennessee played Georgia and Alabama.

I think Vols/Buckeyes may be a close one.
I don't see Clemson or SMU being able to hang with the competition. I've been wrong plenty of times before though.

I’m not sure about the rest after tonights game. Texas only played Georgia of the top SEC schools. Penn St only played Ohio St of the top Big10 schools.

Based on how bad Indiana was, I feel even better about Tennessee winning. Yes, they lost to Oregon by 1 at Oregon when Oregon made a move that resulted in a rule change. But, they also lost to Michigan in their last game. Tennessee did lose to Arkansas, but they have a Freshman QB who’s getting better almost every game. Tennessee also lost to Georgia at Georgia, but led for part of that game.
