It was more of a tongue in cheek remark regarding most socialist claiming every failed socialist model was not "real" socialism. Hitler never achieved socialism, nor do I believe he ever intended to. But his idea was sold as national socialism, hence the name... National Socialist German... -

I'd say it would take a major shift in how society as a whole think. And there are no easy answers. But it all starts at home. Kids nowadays go to school or leave home with unrealistic expectations. Life is hard and either no one prepared them for it or that's all they've been prepared for... -

Agreed I think many of those folks are very aware of the current restrictions on the 2nd Amendment and how we got there. Many are probably equally aware of the compromises along the way that they had little to no say in. But it's never enough... if only we pass this one law and compromise on... -

Cali got the way they are because they guilted enough people into thinking that guns have more to do with violence than bad human behavior. At the same time, they gas-lighted anyone sitting on the fence or pro-2nd into submission. There will always be another fight for the antis, and they will... -

I wonder if this is how California got to where they are? I wonder how the stats stack up. The scare tactics do not stop at the "scary" guns... but it might end up with you needing a bullet button on your 10/22 that had to be converted to bolt action and can only legally hold a 5-round... -

I think this type of marketing keeps the antis distracted with the "shiny new object". Absent their fascination with "ghost" guns, "black" guns, "military-styled" weapons, they are NOT going to disappear into oblivion. Their focus will be at next thing they can ban, and then the next and then...
