Congrats to you guys! I looked at the pic before I read the line above it and thought, "just like old times back in the 2000s, except those two are looking a little older - like I am". Then I read your comment and had to laugh.
Beautiful bucks!
That looks like a WY price tag. I'd say the odds of a NR drawing a Wyoming ewe tag are zero - because none are offered. If you look at the past NR drawing reports you will see only Ram or Any Sheep tags.
I gave Utah $800 for a LE elk tag last year after 19 years of offering begging on my part. The hunt was grand and if I wasn't on timeout I would be more than happy to give them a grand for another go-round this fall.
The thing about Utah is that those expensive LE tag prices don't matter one...

The answer to that question is yes, but now we're getting into the question of how badly people want it - how much time, effort, and research they are willing to put into it. I don't see that the learning curve for seeing/getting an opportunity to take a whitetail on public land in the east is...
If a PA resident wants to hunt whitetails, license cost is $21, or close to $50 if you want to be allowed to hunt with bow & muzzleloader. Add doe tags for $7 each (or $11 each, depending on the type). A nonresident pays $151 for license plus bow & muzzleloader privileges. In both cases, that...
I don't know your residency, but I have experienced point creep as a nonresident first hand. 20 years ago I began buying points in UT, in hopes of drawing a great unit that, at the time, took 6-7 points to draw. Reality set in and last year with 18 points I applied for a 'mid-tier' unit and...
