    The Downside to Big Fish...

Some have blemishes, but most of the ones I get they will take a new rod, cut 3 inches off, scratch the label, and cut the price dramatically! I now own about 14 St Croixs. It's an addiction.

    The Downside to Big Fish...

I live pretty close to Jim Falls where they're made. The last time I swung in I picked up 6 new St. Croix for $250. Just bragging! :D Nice trout!

Hopefully everyone got where they would like! I was able to pick up leftover tags for two seasons. VERY excited to knock down jellyheads with my old man.

    Ohio Sheds-so far this season

Nice work! A lot of great looking sheds with a lot of potential. I have two this year. Public land, North Dakota. Haven't been back to the farm in Wisconsin yet this spring but my guess is the darn tree rats have had their meals.

    Hunter Landowner Relations

Thank you for the post. I agree with everything you said, and you said it very well. I will definitely be referring to parts of it when in conversation about such topics with other folks. As others have said, you're welcome at my camp any time!

    Atvs worth it?

Love my ATV's but I use them for mostly other things than hunting. Trail riding, ice fishing, beer runs at the cabin... No point in making a perfectly peaceful and quiet wilderness crazy because you're lazy. Pardon the rhyme!

    Baiting Bear Help

Stop by a local train depot or a cattle feed plant. I used to get 55 gallon drums of pure cane molasses that the guys collected from runovers etc. Worked really well for me.

    How much $$ is "enough"?

I'd have to say I'm also very lucky. I haven't hunted black bear in MN the last couple of years so I can save for other ventures. She told me I should do both if it made me happy. Now, I just need to find overtime or a second job under a rock.

    How much $$ is "enough"?

That's why I fly fish! :) Next to nothing is as peaceful as a sunrise, standing in the middle of a stream while you're surrounded by a days worth beautiful trout! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UE6GrJr6oVg

Oh yeah, she makes around 42-44k a year, has 2 bachelors degrees... Well, she's a teacher. Contributes a lot by correcting my horrible grammar and math skills!

    How much $$ is "enough"?

Let me start by saying I'm not even sure if this was the best place to make this thread or not. Next, I'll give you some background. I'm a 26-year-old Afghanistan veteran who now works as a police officer. I love hunting, camping, fly fishing, backpacking, Harley Davidsons, and so on. You get...

Wisconsin guys - Thoughts on this land sale plan

Sure, I'd like to own the 197 acre parcel in Polk County, mainly because that's where I live but I wish they would just find a decent resolution and give the people a chance to enjoy what's theirs... My second home, North Dakota, has a great way of having access to hunters and outdoor...

    Surplus killing in Wyoming

There are a few of us who understand wolves, and what they are capable of. Then, there are individuals who are completely absent in thought. Living in Wisconsin and running a farm, it's been very apparent the damage that predators can cause on livestock as well as deer populations (elk in this...
