GOHUNT - Filter and find hunts like never before

Your dog’s quirk?

My lab grew up in my taxidermy shop and doesn’t mess with anything. She has her own chair next to mine behind my desk. On wall above her chair is a framed business license.

I had an extra Ocellated Turkey feather that I decided to slip into the frame against the glass. When she went to jump up on her chair she saw the feather in the frame and barked at it incessantly until I removed it, and then she climbed into her chair.

About a month later I thought about how strangely she acted about a single feather when she is surrounded by mounts including Ocellated Turkeys. So I put it back in the frame and again she barked at it incessantly.

Our Maggie is quite the character as I’m sure all our loved ones are!
One of her quirks (she has a few….) is that she has to have her belly rubbed before she gets up in the morning.
She sleeps on the bed with us and when we go to get her she will flop onto her back ready for rubs.
She’s a Havanese-Poodle mix.

This is Boone, soon to be a 5 year old bernese/bloodhound mix. He's pretty quirkless, until I decide to lay on the couch, which he always takes as an invite to lay on top of me.
He only does this with me, never the wife, and luckily not the daughter.

We had an 80# black and white Springer that loved to chase snowballs. He would dive under the snow barking trying to get it.
He also would bark as he was chasing sticks in the water getting mouthfuls of water. Liked to stand in the bow of our 16ft Searay as we were motoring down the lake with his paws on the bow rail. Absolutely loved grapes.

Not a quirk, but funny nonetheless....my buddies dog jumped up on his dresser and ate his passport.

Oh, I remembered another quirk for my dog. She is a lab. She loves water. She loves retrieving ducks no matter the temperature even if there are ice chunks in the water. However, no matter the temperature, hot or cold, she must be dried off with a towel. She will bug you until you dry her off.

That's a beautiful dog.
