WY unit 72

I've hunted unit 22 as a 2nd choice a couple times while trying to build a few points. They sell a ton of tags and there's very little public ground in that unit. We didn't have much trouble filling our tags, but im hoping 72 is a lot better than 22.

I'll be using OnX and will be sure to steer clear of outfitters. Ive been accused of trespassing before...luckily i had the tracking feature going on Onx showing where i had been.

If you haven't hunted 22 the past two years, you haven't lived.
It's like going to Six Flags now.

I wouldn't hunt that place with a free tag.

Howdy, my brother and I drew tags for 72 and would love any information on the area that anyone has and is willing to share.

72 is fish in a barrel

Necromancing this cause my buddy and I just did a hotwash on his hunt there two years ago.

They give out like 600 resident tags for 72, which is not that big an area. He said there were other hunters on pretty much every piece of public he saw, and had one stalk blown by another group of hunters. Passed a shot because another group was within the SDZ of a good shot he had. Ended up filling his tag on an average type buck after three days of looking.

Basically, between its proximity to Casper and tag allocations, don't expect privacy. Decent hunt but probably not worth the 6 or 7 points it'll take to draw
