WV thunder chicken

Yesterday was opening day in wv. Almost a full week later than normal. I was hoping a lot more of the hens would maybe be sitting by now. Yesterday, dealt with some henned up birds. Today started out hearing birds roosted in the same spots as the previous day. I got aggressive and dropped of the mountain and went straight at them. At fly down I got two toms fired up and coming in fast. Had one try to skirt some multi floral rose that was between us and sneak in behind me. He didn’t make it haha.
I’ve killed quite a few turkeys but this one was special. My wife’s grandpa absolutely was a turkey killing machine. He passed away several years back. My mother in law gave me his turkey belt buckle this past Christmas. I wore it yesterday and today. I think it will be going with me on a lot of future hunts.
