I'm looking for a bolt, tube fed .22 . A buddy is looking for a good plinking, squirrel rifle. I have a Marlin 881 which is great but they seem to have gone the way of the dinosaur. He's not looking to spend stupid money but just a decent price for a decent rifle.

My first .22 was a 981T. Good accurate little rifle, but hated having to unload it all the time when driving to and from hunts. It would be a model to keep your eye out for though.

If you have an old -old .22 I'm looking for one more wall hanger for our dining room. I have 3 and need 1 more.
I have an old Remington octagonal barreled pump that is a restoration project. My grandpa bought it at an auction in a box of odd junk. The butt stock is cracked and many years ago someone tried to keep it from getting worse by wrapping it in old black braided fishing line...Go figure someone in Wisconsin doing that! It has the front pump stock but I can tell it isn't original and the front sight must have gotten lost and replaced with a brass or copper shim that was bent to fit the dovetail slot. I have several old .22s both bolt and semi-auto.

And octagon barrel would be very cool. I have a 1906 model 6 stainless pump, a single shot falling block and a single shot bolt rifle that the stock was slightly burned. There's a 4th spot that needs to have a rifle. The octagon barrel would complete the collection if we can come to terms.

I wouldn't feel right selling it to you in the condition that it is currently in. I would like to get the correct pump, front sight, and see what is under the fishing line.
I have a Springfield (Savage Steven's) bolt action that needs a rear sight. Found one for $17.00 I need to order and that one is done. I have a Wards Westernfield (made by Mossberg) .22 semi auto that I had to make a firing pin for. Did that by hand with a file!

No! Would hang it up as it is and have a story behind it. Anyone can restore a rifle but then it's just a rifle. A beat up octagon rifle that came in a box of junk a bunch of years ago is cool!!!

Send me a PM and we can discuss.
