I would have to personally go with the second option. I love to hunt and enjoy the meat, I could care less about the record books.

I voted option 2. Part of me hunts not exactly to kill a record book animal, but I definitely like harvesting old cagey animals which obviously are usually bigger. Trying to outsmart a wily vet that knows his surroundings better than I know the back of my hand is one hell of a fun challenge. I love the challenge as much as the meat.

Too many hunters today worry more about the tape measure than just enjoying the hunt. The TV hunt show "experts" force feed the audience INCHES and AGE in their determining of a successful hunt. Not for me !!!

I never have gotten the “trophy” thing, hunting or fishing. I hunt and fish for the time I spend with my son and close friends, for the outdoors experience and to put meat on the table. Sure, if luck will have it I get a “big one” I enjoy it, but it is not something I seek. I wish all game & fish departments managed for overall herd/school health and maximized hunting/fishing opportunities over buck/fish size except as part of herd well being. But when I look around, I feel like I am definitely in the minority.

Ok, so I'd take door #1, renege in '21 and hire you to deal with the devil.

Option 2 is my current hunting trajectory anyways so nothing changes for me with that option.

I almost like fishing enough to select option 1 tho. Almost....
