Friday night/Saturday morning, I drove out to the highway where I could hotspot my iPad to my iPhone that had just enough reception to keep the streak alive. Solved at 12:03 a.m. drove back down into the cellular hole where I was parking the elk-mobile.

In March 2020 I found myself basically idle for 2 months (thanks to Miss Corona and the shut-down) and I discovered a YouTube channel called “Cracking the Cryptic”. Two English guys doing (mostly) Sudoku puzzles. Simon Anthony started talking about this new online word game called Wordle, and had several videos of him solving single words, or racing to see how any words he could solve in 5 minutes, and even doing quordle and octordle.
Shortly after the lockdown was over, Mark Goodliffe, the other host of the channel started posting his series “wordle in a minute” where he attempts to solve today‘s word in under 60 seconds, using “hard mode”.
“Hard mode heck” broke his long running streak of over 90 this week:

I use that word quite a bit also but switched it up today and it took me three times.

Tough one today. I got desperate and lucky just throwing things at the wall until one of them stuck. I don't think there was another possible word by the time I got to my 4th hypothesis.
