Well I got my wolf rug today (via ups from Idaho) and I feel she turned out great!

I have a hard time taking pictures indoors that really capture what I am seeing but here is my attempt.

Hanging with her buddies! I won that limited edition print at a RMEF raffle...

For reference that is my bear from 2010 and he was 6' 6" long nose to tail and weighed a shade over 400 pounds. She was a big dog! 6' 6" long tip of nose to tip of tail.....

Sweet! Mind me asking who did the rug and what the cost was? Might have to keep that in mind.

Wilderness Taxidermy out of Pierce, Idaho did the work and it cost me $620 plus $35 shipping. She charges $125 a linear foot and I have no idea what exactly she is measuring. On the phone she told me wolf was 60" but I just measured it and it is 78" tip of nose to tip of tail. She probably measured from nose to base of tail.

Very nice!! It looks great.

That'd probably be my most desired lower 48 trophy to have on the wall.

That looks great. One of these days I am gonna get one on my wall.

Looks great. Now you just need to upgrade the elk and deer on the wall and you'll have a pretty mean room.

I need one of those. Where in Idaho? What was the hunt like? I looked for a post on your hunt but could find nothing. I spent 10 days hunting around Stanley last Oct. w/ no luck. I am craving info for this year, I am planning on 3 weeks this year. No antelope or mulies until I get a wolf. If I sound crazed and desperate it is because I am. Great wolf and rug, congrats.

Thanks everybody. I killed the wolf in unit 10A in Idaho. She and at least one other wolf (we heard it howl after I killed this one) had killed a nice 10 point whitetail and she was finishing up the meal when I spotted her. She hesitated a little too long and I was able to get a snap shot off just as she was taking off. We had tried to howl for them and call them with predator calls to no avail.

That Roosevelt bull made P&Y and I have a Blacktail buck just to the right of the picture was in the top 40 of P&Y for a while and would make B&C if I wanted to enter it so I can't complain. I do have a much larger bull on the agenda for this fall. ;) The little buck is my youngest sons first whitetail so it gets a place for a while. The freakish fork blacktail is just up there as a conversation piece. Biggest bodied blacktail I have ever killed and I have killed 40+.
