Winchester Pre-64 Super Grade 22 Hornet

Nice find! I've always been intrigued by the .22 Hornet. It looks like a fun little cartridge.

The first thing we did when we unpacked it, was load a round in it and fire it into a bullet trap and make sure it wasn’t a “K” Hornet…

I just picked up this near mint Model 70 22 Hornet Super Grade made in 1951. You won't find them much nicer than this. It appears to not be shot much if at all...

Good to check on the "K" I had one in a trade and when I shot it it had been converted, cut the value quite a bit to collector but shot alot of woodchucks in upstate NY with it in the 60's I paid $200 for it in 1968, big $$ for a college kid. I remember I traded it and some boot for a really nice 1950's 257 Bob in standard grade I still have, by then the Hornet barrell was pretty shot out from using .224 bullets from my Lee loader in the dorm.
