Why do you like your gaiters?

I have the Peax and they are far superior to the Kennetrek's I had which busted after a year.

The elastic top on my short Kennetreks either pulled out at the seam or broke at the seam last week in goat country. I only pull the tops tight when crossing water, so they don't really get pulled on often. I like the gaiters but feel the elastic should not have broken with so little use.

I have the Black Ovis Hailstone gaiters. Purchased them a few years ago on sale for $40. They haven't let me down yet, so they are performing great for the price.
