The reason is since legal hunting of the damn things became legal their population has doubled in Montana in spite of it. I have only killed one so far. Hope to take more. My one big regret from last season is not killing a lion. Had my SIL from out of state on an elk hunt and didn't want to mess with it. Won't make the mistake this year. mtmuley

Damage is key. Maybe i missed it. But i havent seen pheasants plunging moose into non-existence.
