Just changed jobs and not enough vacation this year. Points only and just withdrew my WY elk app tonight. First year not going west since 2013. I feel like I just got slapped by Will Smith

I was building points there for years, waiting for the right time to cash. Well, it finally happened. My middle son just moved to Fort Collins for an IT programming job. So I’ll get to visit my two grand daughters en route. Easy choice! Burning 25 NR points on unit 61 archery elk. Been looking at one of those ebikes. Then burning WY points for a general tag 2023 just a couple hours North of there. And 15 CO deer points 2024. Hopefully his company will keep him there for my plan.

Put in for 1st season and have a reasonable chance at both elk tags. Everything else (including moose, sheep, goat) points. I also keep buying points for the kids and wife in hopes they will actually hunt with me again
