Where is the upper 48 at? I hear so much talk from Alaskans about the lower 48, if theres a lower 48 where is the upper 48? Anyone know? Why can't they just say the 48?

I'm in one of the Upper 48's of the Lower 48's.

Its hard to say. I know the "lower 48" is an older term but actually its lower 49 (hawaii is a state). Unless you ask Obama, then its its like "lower 55" or something.

Its just a phrase, dont think to much into it.
