Where is college football talk ???

I did not got to ND, but growing up Catholic in Indiana you can bet who I root for in football.

I was just busting your chops some. Since I root for an independent I find "conference fans" funny... :D

Gotcha. ND won't be indipendednt for long. 1/2 membership in ACC for football and full member in ACC for everything else. I still can't believe the ACC let ND only join 1/2 way in football and still have access to thier bowl games. That is going to piss off FSU, V-Tech, and Clemson some day when they take one of thier bowls and the $ associated with it. Honestly I'd propably rather nee ND win as I'm sick of SEC SEC SEC SEC.

I'm sure they will take some bowl money. They are an 'easy sell' for TV and attendence for bowls. I'd rather see them join the Big 10 (or whatever it's really called) as there'd be a whole lot more rivalry games. Unfortunately there's some history that will probably prevent that and it goes back to the '30s I think.

Watched Clemson outlast LSU last night at the bar bringing iin the New Year. Was nice to see an SEC team get beat. But, I will be routing for Alabama come the 7th.As a kid in little league football, I always wanted to play for Bear Bryant.I got a little skin on the game too with my helper at work. Now I know he's on drugs to think ND has a shot, but I'll take his paycheck

Rough day for the B1G going 0-3. Hopefullt they can win the Rose Bowl to bounce back. Michingan loses a close one and Nebraska falls short in the 4th quarter, both to SEC teams. The Okie St vs Purdue game was an absolute joke with freshman and 3rd teamers playing the entire 4th quarter to keep it under 100.

Some of the bowl matchups this season were and are terrible. Louisville and N Illinois in BCS games are making for terrible games where tickets are selling for less than $10.

T-5 hours til the family smalls hit the road to Dallas for the FCS championship. I hope to get the first six hours of highway time underwear my belt before the sun rises and smaller and smallest wake up.

If Dandy Don was at the Sugar Bowl, he would have already sung his "Turn out the Lights, the party's over" song.

I did love the 4th and goal play that Florida ran with the weird formation......totally took Louisville off guard.

Someone forgot to tell Loiusville they didn't have a prayer against Florida.
Yeppers. I hope Herbstriet didn't get his hair mussed when getting sized for his dunce cap! Pre-game he said more than once they didn't have a chance!

I also give Kudos to L'ville's coach for passing on the money and "promotion" by turning down Tennessee and sticking with the program that gave him his first head coaching job. That can't hurt recruiting. His QB has a lot to offer for a team that plays on Sunday! He can run, but that's by far not his first option and he throws well. I was impressed.

Herby must've given Fla the pre game pep talk. They were flat. Agreed on L'villes's QB....tough kid.

I am no fashion snob, but Sam Houston States uniform pants have to be the worst ever. They all look like they are wearing diapers

what do ya think of the ducks now? they put on a clinic on the fiesta bowl////should have been for the championship though///go ducks!

Nice win by the Ducks. The first 30 seconds of the game and the last minute and a half of the second quarter were the difference in the game, aside from that equally matched teams IMO. I think the Ducks should try winning thier conference first so they could play for a national title. Look for NCAA sanctions in the future as there are recruiting violations being investigated right now. Chip is looking to get out before the you know what hits the fan just like what happened at USC when Carrol left before the NCAA dropped the hammer on the Trojans. He propably has 1 more year before that hits.

Im pulling for the Irish but doubt they will actually win. Hopefully they can break out of thier slump and win tonight. They are 0-3 in BCS games and havent won a bowl against a ranked team since 1994. Only won 2 bowl games since 1995 and those were aginst Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl and Miami in the Sun Bowl, hardly impressive. To say this program needs this bowl win is an understatement. This is a historic program that has underachieved in bowls for nearly 20 years and can break out with a win against Alabama. Not looking good so far but the game is far from over. They are going to need lots of luck to win tonight.

If not it's another year of SECSECSECSECSEC.

The game is embarrassing. For the bcs and ND. Please hurry and get the playoff going for at least the top 4 though 8 would be better.

Would have liked to seen the ducks in this game for some better entertainment.

ESPN slobbered all over themselves when ND got in but with T.V.s all over the country changing channels right now i bet they are sick.
