Here's the Ruger Stainless steel barrel I had rebored then fluted. It doesn't shoot very well at all. The entire barrel is like this. The gentleman that did the work says he doesn't guarantee his work. Basically what it is ,, I sent a Ruger #1 stainless rifle in 22-250 to Wayne York in Oregon to be rebored and chambered to 6.5 Creedmoor. I got it back and I couldn't get anything better than 3" groups. I bought a bore scope to check out the barrel. The pictures are pretty clear that he did a poor job. I called him and his reply was that he doesn't guarantee his work.
I had previously spoken with p_ham but couldn't really afford to have him build me a new barrel. All that behind me now is that Wayne York charged me $640.00 to scroatch my barrel and he wouldn't do anything except offered $100.00 discount if I wanted him to build another barrel even though he is the one who ruined it. He reminded me that he has no guarantee on his gunsmithing.
It's going to Paul in the next couple days to have him build me a new barrel.

Wow!
That is a shame he’s going that route. Perhaps he’s ready to retire. Hard to Immagine you wont be happy with Pauls work.

I tripped over a thread on the Nosler forum where you gave compliments to Paul's work. The reply just after your's was from the moderator saying to avoid Wayne York at oregunsmithing. I wish I had seen that 6 months ago.

I'm having a lot of trouble getting past this - who doesn't guarantee their work for $640? How much was p_ham asking??

I am in the wrong line of business. I'll bet I can destroy rifle barrels for half that price!

Sorry to hear all this and I’m glad Paul can fix it for you. Every thread where someone’s shooting like crap I’ll write that name so people that do look him up see it’s all negatively correlated. Lol

Dang that sucks!

Paul has to build an entire new barrel. There's no saving the hatchet job that Wayne York did. He has a little exclusion on his website saying he has no control over any flaws in the barrel. This isn't a flaw. The entire barrel from muzzle to chamber is destroyed.
A decent business man would try and work out a solution to what is obviously terrible machine work.
