1. They're by a corn flinger, but not all eating.
2. The buck looks to be very young, and he's not broadside.
3. The doe to buck ratio is high, 2 to 1, and a doe is broadside.

Take a big doe with a well placed shot? That little doe seems to have spotted us, you have to shoot quick. The buck already has his tail raised.

Aim at buck... shoot and miss.
Wind causes bullet to drift 3 feet to the right.
Bullet smacks flatheaded doe in the noggin.
Bullet ricochets off doe's skull and hits feed stand's winch pulley causing it to unlatch.
Suspended 10,000 lb weight falls and totally crushes the doe feeding in the backround.
Easy shot. Done it dozens of times...

I'm with dangerous dave. I would put a 30-06 180 grain in that big bastards neck and then go drink some beer! I have dropped two deer and a big ass cow elk with neck shots and none of them went more than a few feet!

Yes there is, Jose. The Roadrunner cartoon shot I suggested. (Everyone knows I'm goofing about bouncing bullets off of a doe's skull, right?)
I'm not ever exactly thrilled with taking any neck shot. I usually won't even attempt it. If my bullet winds up there, it was usually a mistake because I was aiming somewhere else.

How about a Texas heart shot? Honestly I have dropped and I mean dropped some animals with a neck shot so what is irresponsible about a good clean kill? Maybe you have had some bad luck with a neck shot but it has worked flawlessly for me. JMO.

(I'd shoot after I ducked and then Greenhorn and 280 would be in a fight, they're so disgusted sounding about it. Hopefully, I'd get the shot off, while they figured out who to hit next.)
