What were dealing with in WA

Fed, not state, but it's a WA newspaper
Washington DC.

That is a tough situation. I want more people, regardless of color or background, to care about wild things and wild places. So there is potential upside. As long as there is no expectation for special treatment for one group or another.

The Washington Examiner is a tabloid rag, fyi.

Read that article earlier. Ridiculous in many levels but it's congress that sets the budget, not the FS. Blaming the admin for congress's ineptitude is peak trash journalism. Allowing the feel-goodery of dumbass consultants to continue is 100% on the admin.

Well with the apparent inequality on the commission as far as Sportsman's representation things will not go in our direction. When you have people like Lorna Smith and her obvious ties to anti hunting groups it's hard to remain positive. Outside of the state influences are a big issue and one welcomed by the commission. It's obvious when they will listen to anti hunting petitions yet disclaim any by hunting community. Ex commissioners like Kim Thorburn know the commission is slanted towards the anti's. I continually email the commission to be heard.
